Tinchuley : A tiny beautiful village near Darjeeling
Tinchuley is a small, beautiful village in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. This is located about 5800 feet above sea level. The green village is largely isolated from urban civilization. Once you reach this village, your eyes will just catch the green desert.
The reason behind the name of this place is that there are three hills around it. From a distance, this place looks like three ovens. That is why this place is called Tinchuley.
With the encouragement of WWF (World Wide Federation), almost all the villagers have started Model Organic Villages and Village Tourism. Tinchuley is being developed as an eco-village.

How to reach Tinchuley
The nearest airport from this place is Bagdogra, and the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri. You can get a lot of rented cars from outside the airport and railway station to come directly to Tinchuley.
This place can be reached by two roads, one via Jorebunglow and the other through Teesta Bazaar. If you want to come by shere, you have to get off at Jorebunglow or Teesta bazaar and from here you have to reach there by private car.
Best time to Visit Tinchuley
This place can be visited at any time of year except during the monsoon. But the best time to come here is from October to February. However, it is a little cold at this time, but Kanchenjunga is very clear.

Gumbadara Viewpoint: This viewpoint is the main attraction of Tinchuley.
Visit Monastery: There is a small monastery in Tinchuley that you can visit easily.

Takdah Monastery: There is also a small monastery in Takdah which you can visit. And also visit the orchid garden.
Lamahatta Eco-park: The Lamahatta eco-park is located just 8 km from Tinchuley. So you can easily turn it around from here.
Peshok Tea Garden: Peshok Tea Garden is a very famous tea garden in the Darjeeling district. It is located just below Tinchuley.
Lovers point: This viewpoint falls exactly halfway between Darjeeling and Kalimpong and is very near to this place. River Teesta looks beautiful from above. Must visit this place.

Short trekking: There are several short trekking routes from here. Those who like adventure can do this trekking like Lamhatta to Tinchuley trek.
Tea estate visit: There are several beautiful tea estates in and around this place. One of them is Peshok Tea Estate.
Village walking: You can visit this beautiful village on foot. It will be a wonderful experience for you to walk in nature.
Camping: Those who love adventure can camp here.
